Flamingo Theque is an al fresco lounge at the lobby of Flamingo Hotel By The Beach, Penang. Especially in the evening, this place presents a relaxing avenue for guests to mingle around. Alcoholic beverages here include red wines, white wines, draught beers, bottled beers and cocktails, while non-alcoholic choices are mocktails, fruit juices, smoothies, soft drinks and more. Although Flamingo Theque also serves food, the options are more limited compared to Flamingo Café.
Flamingo Roselle (RM18.00) is Flamingo Theque’s signature drink. Made from carbonated water mixed with roselle syrup, the reddish drink also contains crunchy pieces of roselle flowers. Roselle is used as a herbal remedy in many countries and is believed to be good for health.
Daniel Fresh (RM20.00) is the featured mocktail this month. The drink is a combination of pineapple, orange and lime juices with sparkling fizziness of soda pop. Also included are several drops of grenadine syrup to give the drink a distinctive orange hue. The mocktail’s fruity sweetness is very effective in quenching thirst.
The ambience of Flamingo Theque is enhanced by a two-piece band which performs every Friday and Saturday between 9:30pm and 12:30am. The duo is able to perform diverse genres of songs and even take suggestions from the evening audience.
Flamingo Theque’s Happy Hour is between 7:00pm and 9:00pm every day. During this 2-hour window, customers enjoy “buy 1 free 1” on all draught beers, house wines, soft drinks and chilled juices.
