Laksa Shack

Update: This business has ceased its operations.

This small shop lot in Queensbay Mall is quite hidden from the main walkways. But no restaurant escapes the eyes of a curious food blogger. And so one fine day, curiosity got the better of me.

The shop lot is so small that it is just a cash register and kitchen, while the dining section is out in the open under the escalator.

As recommended in the menu, I ordered a bowl of Singapore Laksa (RM7.90). When the food was served, I was not sure whether to laugh or to cry. It was just a small bowl of unusual asam laksa, plus the standard ingredients: onion, chili pepper, cucumber strips etc. For below RM3.00, I could have enjoyed a larger bowl of Penang-famous asam laksa at Air Itam.
I also took a cup of Teh Tarik (RM2.50). Although nothing special, it turns out to be the better item for this lunch.
Needless to say, I will not be back again for the next 5,730 years!
